April 30, 2024 Breakfast - a peanut butter and honey sandwich and a pain au Chocolate. Lunch - Salami and Manchego sandwiches Dinner - Sautéed Salmon, Tomato, mushroom, asparagus, and shallot Couscous and PPI citrus baked Cod
What a busy and productive day.
I started by selling 260 shares of AppL at $174.21 when it was up $50 cents, soon after I sold the markets began to tumble and continued to tumble for the rest of the day. For example, AppL closed at $170.33 almost $4.00 below where I sold. My portfolio had a terrible day dropping 2.5%’ Luckily I sold enough shares to make the $200,000 loan to Earn on Monday and this morning before the market collapsed.
I weakened around 1:00 yesterday after eating only a pain au chocolate for breakfast, so today I toasted a slice of Kommisarbrod and spread peanut butter on it and mixed some honey into the peanut butter and also ate a pain au chocolate which was lucky because I did not have time to eat lunch until 2:30 when I toasted four slices of Kommisarbrod and spread each with Mayo and added slices of salami and Manchego cheese and spread mustard between the salami and cheese and added lettuce to make two sandwiches that I ate with green cracked olives and a glass of water.
I then lay down and napped for an hour until 4:20 when I drove to Smith’s.
I bought two salmon filets, a tuna steak, shallots, green beans, tomatoes green bell peppers, chocolate wafer cookies, cream cheese, milk, Mimolette cheese and another cheese, root beer, tostido corn chips, foie gras, and strawberries.
When I returned home around 5:30 Suzette helped unload the groceries and I poured a tall root beer and watched the news and then Finding Your Roots.
At 8:00 Suzette returned from her conference call and we discussed dinner.
We decided to sauté a slice of salmon and make couscous with asparagus, shallot, mushrooms, and tomato.
I diced the vegetables and made the couscous and Suzette sautéed the salmon and we re-heated the PPI Citrus Cod and a bit of rice. Also I made tartare sauce with Mayo, lemon juice, horseradish, and pickle relish.
Suzette fetched a chilled bottle of Paletin French Sauvignon Blanc (Trader Joe’s) white wine and we ate a lovely dinner.
The plate presented an interesting mixed grill of Citrus baked Cod, sautéed salmon, tomato rice, and Mushroom, asparagus, shallot, and tomato couscous accompanied by a tangy tartare sauce tasting of horseradish that Suzette loved.
We were both tired and I went to bed at 9:00 after taking out the trash.
No chocolate or cognac tonight.
I am busy arranging the loan to Earn, getting the shares in the Indian bank dematerialized, and completing the application for a credit line on my house, plus performing all my regular legal services
Thank God I am feeling better. I think it will be easier to build back my stamina without the hindrance of hip joint pain.
The pattern that have been following that seems to work Uris to work at my desk in the morning, then to eat lunch around 1:00 to 2:00, then to rest until 3:00 or 3;30 and then to exercise or engage in some other activity, such as grocery shopping.
Then when Suzette comes home to rest a bit while she has a cocktail and then cook dinner.
Bon Appetit
