May 18, 2024 Brunch - Sautéed Smoke Pork Chop and Diced Potatoes with eggs and toast. Dinner - Pita Sandwiches filled with Red Pepper dip and tabouli with lettuce, dolmas, and dried black olives

May 18, 2024 Brunch - Sautéed Smoke Pork Chop and Diced Potatoes with eggs and toast. Dinner - Pita Sandwiches filled with Red Pepper dip and tabouli with lettuce, dolmas, and dried black olives


I awakened around 8:00.  We rested today. I put some wine left from the party last night in the wine cellar and garage fridge and brought in the orange juice. Then at 10:30 we made brunch.  Suzette sautéed a smoked pork chop and two diced baked potatoes with onion and then fried eggs.  I made toast and buttered the slices with butter and French cherry preserves.


When all the food was ready Suzette made mimosas with Gruet Brut and fresh orange juice from El Super.


After brunch we rested although I watched Kaitlin Clark play WNBA basketball for a while.


Around 1:00 Willy called from Buenos Aires and we talked about his Spanish lessons.


We rested until 5:00 when we got ready for the Philharmonic at 6:00.


The program was Russian Romanticism and the soloist violinist, Park, were wonderful.


Then a 8:00 we drove home and prepared pita pocket sandwiches with red pepper dip, tabouli and lettuce from our garden. Plus dolmas and black olives.





We watched SNL until 10:00 when Suzette went to bed. And I watched Paris Murders.


I stayed up to blog and read until midnight.
