August 11, 2022 Lunch - Artichoke and Roasted Lamb sandwich. Dinner - PPI Stir fried Pepper Steak and Stir fried Shanghai bok Choy.
I ate my usual granola and milk and blueberries and yogurt for breakfast.
I relaxed until noon watching the huge news conference called by Merritt Garland. For lunch I ate the Artichoke we boiled several days ago with a slice of toasted French baguette spread with Mayo and garnished with slices of roasted lamb and the smoked Gouda with cumin cheese.
At 3:00 I drove to Bill Turner’s and reviewed another transaction.
When I returned Suzette arrived, sore from a fall and lay down. We watched the Beat with Ari Melber.
Again it will be interesting to see how Garland’s strategy to unseal the search warrant and inventory plays out. Mote interestingly if Trump wants to challenge the motion, he will be given the affidavit and application for the warrant and Trump will learn the name and facts that triggered the warrant.
If as is reported the warrant was issued because Trump did not turn over nuclear papers in response to a subpoena, this could get really interesting.
At 5:30 I started chopping garlic, red onion and five stalks of Shanghai bok Choy which a little larger than baby bok Choy. By 6:00 Suzette rallied as usual and fetched a beer from the garage and put the PPI pepper steak and rice in a Pyrex baking dish and covered it with Saran ready to microwave. Suzette also made the seasoning sauce for the bok Choy.
I stir fried the hard ingredients first in peanut oil and after they were cooked added the green leaves and the seasoning sauce.
It was an easy dinner to mark but really delicious.
We watched some news and then Suzette went to bed at 8:15.
I ate a bowl of chocolate ice cream with a splash of rum and then blogged and read.
Bon Appetit
