November 6, 2022 Brunch - Lax, Goat cheese, and red onion omelet. Dinner - Grilled Tandoori Chicken breast and Bratwurst with Potato ans pasta salads and Pear Tart

I awakened at 7:30 just in time to watch Fareed Zacharia and then the news programs.  Then at 10:00 I watched the Tottenham v. Liverpool match which was quite exciting except that Dier gave up the ball in an errant pass to Salah who scored a second goal before the half.  Tottenham scored 1 but could not equalize in the second half.

Suzette made a lovely Lax, Goat cheese, and red onion omelet around noon. I drank the last of the Riechard Riesling with my half and Suzette  made her Sunday Bloody Mary with Clamato, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, and horseradish. I also toasted and buttered and spread blueberry jam n two slices of baguette.

Suzette then made a pear tart. I peeled the two Bosc pears we had and sliced them and ground about 2 oz. of dark Guatemalan chocolate Luke had given us for Christmas a year ago.  Suzette found a recipe for a pear and chocolate tart in the cocoa book Willy gave us for Christmas last year. She poached the pears in a syrup and then lay chocolate on them and then lay a layer of prepared puff pastry dough on top and baked the tart in a tart form.  When the tart was baked, she inverted the pan so the pastry shell was on bottom and the pears on top.

While Suzette made the pear tart I rested and napped until 2:00 and at 2:30 we walked about 1/3 mile in the neighborhood.  I then made a mojito and lay down to rest until 5:15.

At 3:00 Suzette left to pick up a client at the hospital and take them to the Center.  She stayed for dinner at the farm stand and returned at 7:00 with an aluminum container filled with a grilled chicken breast, a grilled brat, and potato salad and pasta salad.

I got hungry at 6:00 so I ate a slice of the pear tart.

Then when Suzette returned I heated the dinner roll with 1/2 of the grilled chicken breast and brat.  I then ate bites of potato salad and pasta salad with the the heated food for a lovely dinner and put the remainder in the fridge.

I was unloading the dishwasher during Ms. Scarlet and the Duke episode on PBS and then made a cup of chai and ate a Belgium chocolate with a cup of chai and joined Suzette to watch the Magpie Murders, which is a plot within a plot that is constantly shifting from the current plot to the prior plot.

At 9:00;we watched KC play The Titans to a tie in regular time and then went to bed.
