October 13, 2022 lunch - PPI pork and eggplant stir fry. Dinner - PPI Beef and Barley Soup.
I woke and got dressed and made a breakfast of granola with milk and blueberries and yogurt by 11:45.
At Noon the Jan. 6 Hearing began and went until 1:30.
Loyda drove me to the bank to get money to pay her and then I walked home.
The market was up today but it has not recovered from its recent losses.
I was hungry so ate a plate of the PPI Pork, eggplant, and zucchini stir fry with rice.
I worked at my desk until Suzette came home around 4:15, when I drove to Smith’s to shop.
Suzette brought home a delicata squash yesterday and today a pumpkin.
We decided to make chicken curry for Cliff and Nancy Saturday night dinner after the symphony.
I bought chicken, milk, sour cream, asparagus, and raspberries and returned home at about 5:30.
I was hungry so I toasted three slices of baguette and smeared two with sour cream and lay a slice of red onion on each and pieces of herring in wine sauce.
I then de-stemmed 1/2 bunch of spinach and spun it to clean it.
Suzette brought in the beef and barley soup and added water to it to thin it and heated it. When it started to boil I added the spinach and stirred it in to cook it.
I ate two bowls and Suzette ate one bowl. It has become really delicious now that the barley has opened and absorbed liquid.
After dinner we started to watch Persuasion but but bored and went to bed a bit after 8:00.
The Congressional hearing was riveting as usual and pointed the finger at Trump for everything that happened. The big surprise ending was the committee issuing a subpoena for Trump to produce documents and testify. This is getting interesting.
Bon Appetit
