April 9, 2024 Brunch - Selda leftovers. Dinner - BBQ Pork Ribs, smoked salmon, barley Salad and Baked beans.

I read in bed until 10:00.

Then Suzette heated up some leftovers from last night that included a beef meatball, some chicken kebab, some eggplant and yogurt salad, some pita, rice, and we added cold bean salad to make a tasty brunch.

Then at 2:00 Billy drove us downtown to visit the Crow Museum. The entire space was filled with the Montgomery Collection of Japanese art; mostly functional ceramic pieces, like chargers, dishes, sake bottles, hand warmers, etc. but they all were of exceptional quality by famous artists.

There was also lots of beautiful textiles and sculptures, many made by cultural treasure artisans.

Here are several pictures.

When we returned I nibbled on the fresh wedge of Leyden Elaine bought  with corn chips and crackers.

Then at 7:00 we ate dinner, which was a reprise of the BBQ dinner Sunday evening with Billy’s baked beans and Jerry’s smoked and cured salmon and barley and snow top bean salad.

I had a sip of Ponticus red wine after the meal, as we watched Finding Your Roots.

At 8:00 we walked. I went two blocks and ended the day with over a mile of accumulated steps.

We then went to bed because tomorrow Billy and I will take Willy to the airport and Suzette and Elaine have a big day planned of gardening, stretching, and swimming.

Then in the afternoon we will go to IKEA.

Bon Appetit
