April 3, 2024 Breakfast - Gravad Lax and Bagel. Lunch - Cafe Istanbul Dinner - Red Lentil Dhal, Rice, beans, Spinach, and Steak

April 3, 2024 Breakfast - Gravad Lax and Bagel. Lunch - Cafe Istanbul  Dinner - Red Lentil Dhal, Rice, beans, Spinach, and  Steak

Today I suffered from diarrhea. I ate Gravad lax on a rye bagel with cream cheese, slices of onion that may have been a little old, slices of Gravad lax and capers.

At 10:30 we drove to podiatry but I was a month early, so we did some errands for Suzette and then drove to TJ Maxx at San Mateo and Montgomery, where we bought underwear, tee shirts and a pajama bottom.  We then drove to Ming Dynasty for dim sum but it was closed, so we drove to Cafe Istanbul. We bought a gallon of yogurt milk, a container of feta, a bag of pitas, labni, two meat pies and one cheese pie. The restaurant was not open, so we asked the attendant to heat them in the microwave and we ate them in the car with a glass of yogurt milk.

We then drove to the Presbyterian clinic for my 2:15 appointment and I had to go to the bathroom for the third time.

I was feeling tired and a little weak when we met with the doctor and we decided I should go on a bland diet until the diarrhea clears up.

When we left the doctor’s office, Suzette drove us to Sodexo to get a pool part and then to the large furniture consignment store on Candelaria near the freeway where she found a good looking mirror for over the vanity.

We then drove home, arriving at 4:00.

Suzette checked the fridge to see what was leftover from Luke’s cooking and found red lentil Dhal with rice and pinto beans.  We decided to immediately go on a rice, legume, and vegetable diet.

I lay down for several hours until a location spotter named Bruno came to the door and came in to take pictures.

It was 6:00 so I got up and started 1 1/2 cups of rice using 3 cups of chicken broth and about a T. of crumbled plaice seaweed.

When the rice was ready, Suzette heated the red lentil dhal with pieces of PPI steak and spinach and p the freshly made rice to create a thick stew.  We both loved the thick stew and I hoped this would be when we ended the diarrhea.

We have more rice and cooked beans Luke cooked for tomorrow.

Suzette cooked the pork belly she bought last week, so we will have a few morsels of meat to garnish the beans and rice tomorrow.

Bon Appetit
