February 27, 2023 Lunch - Filipino baked Chicken with rice and Stir fried Chinese Broccoli Dinner - Italian Sausage with Tomato Sauce over Spaghetti and Sautéed Broccoli

February 27, 2023 Lunch - Filipino baked Chicken with rice and Stir fried Chinese Broccoli Dinner - Italian Sausage with Tomato Sauce over Spaghetti and Sautéed Broccoli

I awakened at 7:00 and Suzette helped me dress.

Then I ate a bowl of granola with milk and blueberries and yogurt at 9:00.

I then worked on two responses until 1:45, including winning a summary judgment in one water case and settling another water case after lunch.

I then heated a piece of Filipino baked chicken, a piece of duck, a piece of charred cauliflower, some rice and some stir fried Chinese Broccoli.

I went back to work at 2:15 and edited an affidavit and drafted a motion and sent it to opposing counsel for concurrence by 5:00 when Mrs. Rajan came to sign her documents.  When I  finished with her around 6:30 and sat down dinner of Italian Sausage with Tomato Sauce over Spaghetti and Sautéed Broccoli with a glass of Tempranillo from Rueda in Rioja.

Willy joined us for dinner and started talking about a long trip around the world to Japan, Singapore, India, and then Europe.

I went back to work after dinner and worked until 8:30.

I gained an extension for completing discovery and we completed an Affidavit in another case with the help of Robert.

That meant I worked 10 hours today.

At 8:45 I watched news and sipped a cognac and Grand Marnier and nibbled a pecan sandie.

I blogged this entry and then watched Rachel Maddow.

February 26, 2023 Brunch - Eggs over Easy on Smashed Potatoes, chopped lamb, and onions. Snack - Filipino chicken with charred cauliflower, and rice. Dinner - Roast Duck, Stir Fried Chinese Broccoli, and rice

February 26, 2023 Brunch - Eggs over Easy on Smashed Potatoes, chopped lamb, and onions. Snack - Filipino chicken with charred cauliflower, and rice. Dinner - Roast Duck, Stir Fried Chinese Broccoli, and rice

I woke up at 6:30. I watched Chelsea lose to Tottenham 2 to 0, which kept Tottenham firmly in fourth place in the PL standings. Then I got dressed in blue jeans for the first time since my operation with Suzette’s help.

Suzette then made breakfast of Eggs over Easy on Smashed Potatoes, chopped lamb, and onions. This was the perfect evocation of our style of cooking with leftovers. Both the potatoes and the lamb chop were PPIs.

Suzette simply chopped up a previously grilled lamb chop and several previously baked smashed baby potatoes and sautéed them with some red onion and then added two eggs on top to steam covered by a lid until the white was firm and the yolk slightly runny.

I really enjoyed this morning meal.

Henry arrived at 10:30 after I watched the news and we worked until 3:30, when I had to take a break. Henry brought Dos Equis beers and cheese coated Ruffles and turkey jerky that kept us going until 3:30.

Suzette heated us each a PPI chicken thigh with charred cauliflower and rice that Elaine had made for us and brought Friday night.

After our snack we worked another 2 hours until 5:45.

After Henry left I lay down on the bed and watched 60 Minutes with Suzette, but soon fell asleep until 8:00 when I heated a plate of Roast Duck, Stir Fried Chinese Broccoli, and rice that I ate with a cup of green tea.

I loved the combination of roast duck, stir fried broccoli, and rice in the tea sauce for the duck.

Revived, I blogged this entry and then watched the CNN Special on how ordinary citizens are stepping up to fight the Russians in Ukraine titled the The Will to Win.

February 25, 2023 Brunch - Lax and Bagel. Snack - PPI Gyros and rice and Tahini Salad. Dinner - Vegetarian Eggplant Parmigiana with Sweet Potato slices

February 25, 2023 Brunch - Lax and Bagel. Snack - PPI Gyros and rice and Tahini Salad. Dinner - Vegetarian Eggplant Parmigiana with Sweet Potato slices

Today we worked and ate well.

I finished the draft of a pleading from 8:30 to 10:30.

Suzette left at 8:00 to buy bagels at Kaufman’s bagels and delivered them to the bistro and then returned at 10:30.  The Bistro is featuring a lax and bagel for breakfast on the weekends.  We think Kaufman’s makes the best bagel. I noticed it had a crisp outer crust and the inside was firm, not fluffy.

I sliced red onion, lax, and spread cream cheese and garnished with capers. Suzette added slices of tomato.

After brunch I watched soccer and Suzette worked in her office after brunch.

I heated up the leftover gyro and rice and a pita that I stuffed with the tahini salad at 2:00.  It still tasted remarkably good after a week in the fridge.

At 3:30 we started cooking dinner.  Suzette peeled six Roma tomatoes and I diced them plus a small onion and minced four cloves of garlic and sliced six mushrooms that Suzette combined with a can of tomato paste and a handful of dried oregano into a tomato sauce after simmering for 1 1/2 hours.

She then grilled slices of eggplant on the propane grill and interspersed slices of mozzarella, slices of baked sweet potato, and slices of grilled eggplant in a baking dish and covered it with the fresh tomato sauce and dusted with grated Parmesan cheese and baked in a 350 degree. Oven for 25 minutes.

She boiled spaghetti and served two or three slices of eggplant and sweet potato with sauce on a pile of Spaghetti. We liked the fresh clean flavor of a purely vegetarian dish.

We opened another birthday wine, a 2017 Unanime gran Tinto from Argentina produced both Mascota Vineyards.

We watched an amazing movie written and starring Jonah Hill titled Our People about a Jewish guy who falls in love with a black woman.  Eddie Murphy plays the father of the black girl and Julia Dreyfus’s plays the mother of the Jonah Hill character.

After the movie I made a cup of chai and filled a sipper with some cognac and ate one of the triple mousse pastries we bought at Le Quiche on Wednesday.

We watched another movie titled Your Place of Mine with Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kushner that was not as good.  Suzette went bed at 11:0 and I stayed up to blog and watch a newly discovered film of Jim’s Hendrix’ July 4th, 1970 concert in Atlanta.

February 24, 2023 Lunch - Leftover Beef Enchiladas and beans. Dinner with the Chews from East Ocean and Filipino Chicken with Cauliflower

February 24, 2023 Lunch - Leftover Beef Enchiladas and beans. Dinner with the Chews from East Ocean and Filipino Chicken with Cauliflower

I ate granola with milk and blueberries and yogurt for breakfast.

Then I worked at my desk until 12:45 when I added chopped onion and a spoonful of sour cream and heated the Beef Enchiladas and beans left from yesterday’s lunch at Placitas Cafe.

I watched Fulham tie the Wolverines 1 to 1 in PL play.  I relaxed and met with Ken and then Karim who both are blessed because they both brought checks.

I have been using the cane to walk most of the day and feeling better.

Wayne and Elaine arrived at 6:00 bearing food from East Ocean; 1/2 Roast Duck, srir-fried Chinese Broccoli, and a beef and noodle dish, plus a homemade platter of Filipino stewed and baked chicken, sautéed cauliflower and rice flavored with cloves.

I took some of each dish and enjoyed each, but I found myself having trouble clearing the plate.  I think my appetite is not fully recovered.

I was especially pleased with the Chinese broccoli that was still crisp and not overcooked.

And there are lots of leftovers for future meals.

After Wayne and Elaine left at 7:15 we watched the news until Suzette went to bed at 9:00.

I stayed up to write this blog entry and read.

It was lovely sharing a meal with Wayne and Elaine and I was encouraged by their kind words that I looked great, etc.

Later I ate two scoops of spumoni ice cream.

February 21, 2023 Lunch - Leftover Gyros and Shawarma plus Tabouli and pita. Dinner - Lobster Ravioli in a Shrimp, mushroom, green onion and garlic cream sauce

February 21, 2023 Lunch - Leftover Gyros and Shawarma plus Tabouli and pita. Dinner - Lobster Ravioli in a Shrimp, mushroom, green onion and garlic cream sauce

I slept until 7:00. I watched the news and the Market open for its worst day in months and then dressed and ate granola with milk and blueberries and yogurt for breakfast.

I then worked on a pleading until 12:30 and then ate some of the leftover Gyros and beef Shawarma and Tabouli Willy brought me yesterday.

I then worked a bit longer on the pleading and other matters until Suzette came home and at 3:00 we walked to the corner until we were buffeted with strong winds and caught in an increasingly darkening sky, so we returned to the house.

I made a cup of hot chocolate and drank it and then lay down and watched a Ari Melber and then napped until 6:00.

We discussed dinner.  Suzette suggested cooking a package of lobster ravioli.  I added that I would love it in a garlic cream sauce with shrimp.

So, Suzette fetched a package of lobster ravioli and a bag of shrimp from the garage fridge.

I then chopped the white portion of four green onion and three cloves of garlic and 1/3 of a red bell pepper.

Then I sliced seven white mushrooms.

The I sliced the green onion tops and Suzette added them to a sauté pan in which she was sautéing the garlic with chopped onion whites and 1/3 of a red bell pepper and about 1 lb. of chopped shrimp.

After Suzette sautéed all the ingredients, she added pasta water and heavy cream to make a light cream sauce.

I then chopped  1/2 cup of fresh parsley.

Suzette served six or seven ravioli coated with the cream, shrimp and mushroom sauce garnished with minced parsley.

I loved dinner and the Wine was crisp with a slightly citrus flavor.

We opened a chilled bottle of Kirkland New Zealand SAUVIGNON BLANC and ate a delicious dinner.

At 7:00 we watched my favorite program, Finding Your Roots.  Every show is interesting but this show was amazing.  It featured Jeh Johnson and Angela Davis.  Both had slave owner roots, but I was amazed that one of Jeh’s white ancestors was a young fife player in the Revolutionary War fighting with the Patriots.  Angela Davis’s white ancestry was even more amazing; one of her ancestors was named Brewster, who was among the original 101 persons who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620.

As Jeh said, “The more you know about the history of America, the more you appreciate its richness.”

February 22, 2023 Lunch - Le Quiche Parisienne Bistro. Dinner - French Onion Soup

February 22, 2023 Lunch - Le Quiche Parisienne Bistro. Dinner - French Onion Soup

Today the meals took a decidedly French turn.

I ate a fig Newton on the drive to my dentist appointment at 10:00. After the dentist appointment, Suzette drove us to Le Quiche Parisienne Bistro at Mountain Run Shopping Center near Eubank and Academy. The dining room is open and airy.  All the tables and banquettes have a view of the open kitchen and bakery behind the kitchen.  While we were waiting a large tray I’d pain au chocolate were brought out and dumped on the long counter in front of the coffee station.

The menu was interesting with lots of quiches, sandwiches, and several specialty items of the Entrée variety.

I immediately saw that mussels were on the menu and lots of patisserie were in a cooled display case at the end of the coffee counter.

I ordered the mussels Provencal and Suzette ordered a warm croissant sandwich with ham and cheese.

Suzette also ordered a cafe au lait with lots of warm milk.

Soon a platter of hot French fries was served and shortly after that a larger traditional covered steamer filled with mussels and Suzette’s sandwich were served.

Suzette helped me eat the mussels and pile of French fries.

I loved the mussels so much I never touched the 1/2 sandwich.

I tasted her cafe au lait served French style in a large bowl and it was delicious also.

After I ate the mussels I drank the steaming medium that was also delicious with bits of tomato, broth and olive oil.

After lunch I bought three pastries to go.

This was one of the best lunches I have eaten in a long time.

After lunch we drove home and we worked at or respective desks.  I stopped at 3:45 after finishing a project.

I watched Ari Melber for a few minutes but fell asleep for about fifteen to twenty minutes.  I still do not have the stamina to work a full day.

I awakened at 4:30 and rested until 5:00 when I meditated with the zen group until 5:30.

Both Suzette and I had considered ordering a bowl of French Onion Soup at lunch, so I suggested making French Onion Soup for dinner since we had a piece of PPI grilled rib steak. I diced the steak and thinly sliced three onions to provide the 4 1/2 cups of onion for the Julia Child recipe.

Suzette then took over and created beef broth with the steak and better than bouillon plus some chopped carrot.

She then sweated the sliced onion for 15 minutes, then added salt and sugar and cooked them 5 more minutes, then added 3 T. of flour and cooked the flour in and then added 2 quarts of beef broth and 1*2 cup of white wine and a splash of brandy to complete the soup.

We have Mother’s French soup crocks.  Suzette filled two with soup and floated slices of fresh French baguette we were given with our lunch covered with slices of Racalette cheese.

I must say the result was amazingly tasty and traditional.

We drank the last of 2018 Stag’s Leap Cab with the soup for a perfect pairing of food and wine.

After dinner we poured sniffers of Maison Serrene cognac and I made a cup of chai and we shared the chocolate mousse pastry for our second French meal of the day.

After dinner we watched a Netflix movie starring Harry Connick Jr. and Renee Zellweger titled “New in Town”.

It is a tribute to French Cuisine that one can take an old piece of beef and three onions and a bit of bread and cheese and make a hearty, delicious dinner.

February 20, 2023 Lunch - Beef shawarma with hummus and Giros with rice, tahini salad and Tabouli and Baklava. Dinner - Sautéed Duck breasts with sautéed baked sweet potato and steamed green beans

February 20, 2023 Lunch - Beef shawarma with hummus and Giros with rice, tahini salad and Tabouli and Baklava. Dinner - Sautéed Duck breasts with sautéed baked sweet potato and steamed green beans

I woke up and worked until Michelle, the Physical Therapist, arrived at 10:00.  I had not eaten so I grabbed a fig Newton bar and walked a bit with a cane to show that I can progress to it. Michelle will help me transport to a car on Thursday.

After Michelle left I was still feeling weak so at 11:30 I called Willy and he was at Eubank and Montgomery, so he agreed to pick up some Middle Eastern food on the way over.

At 12:15 I finished my pleading and Willy arrived with five containers of food, two large and three small styrofoam containers.  One large container contained chopped beef shawarma on a bed of hummus and the other containing chopped gyros on a bed of basmati rice.  One of the side dishes was Tabouli salad and the other a chopped salad of carrots, cucumber in tahini.  The last container contained two slices of baklava.

We ate approximately 1/2 of the food, so there is enough for two more lunches.

Willy made us a cup of Earl Grey tea after lunch that we drank it with a slice of baklava.

At 1:15 I was back in front of the computer until Suzette came home at 3:30 when I lay down and watched Nicole interview Ken Burns.

The two big things that were in the news was Biden’s visit to Kyiv and Ex-President Carter being admitted to hospice at the age of 98.

What a difference there is between how Biden has supported Ukraine and how Trump threatened to hold up military aid to coerce Zelenzky to start an investigation of Hunter Biden.  Trump’s attempt got him impeached the first time. Biden’s help may win him a Nobel prize.

At 6:00 I went to the kitchen. Suzette and I had discussed dinner and agreed on sautéing baked sweet potatoes.  She had started baking two sweet potatoes at 5:00. Then she peeled the sweet potatoes and sautéed the strips she cut the potato into.

I butchered the duck breasts from the bone and then Suzette and I snapped the ends of the green beans and put the pieces into the steamer.

Suzette sautéed the duck breasts, steamed the green beans, and sautéed the sweet potato strips to golden brown to caramelize the sweet potatoes.

I fetched the bottle of 2018 Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon that Karl and Joanne gave Suzette for her birthday. This one of my favorite Cabs and I drank two small glasses of it, which is about three times the amount of wine than I have been drinking.

I love duck and 1 1/2 breasts is a luxury plus I love the caramelized sweet potatoes.

I also love the way Suzette sautés baked sweet potatoes.

This was a great meal made better by an amazing wine and later a bowl of spumoni ice cream with a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

February 19, 2023 Brunch - Blueberry Almond flour Pancakes with Bacon Lunch - Steak, Racalette, and chili Relleno Quesadilla Dinner - Grilled Lamb Chops, Quinoa, and Tossed Salad

February 19, 2023 Brunch - Blueberry Almond flour Pancakes with Bacon Lunch - Steak, Racalette, and chili Relleno Quesadilla   Dinner - Grilled Lamb Chops, Quinoa, and Tossed Salad

Today I felt like we were back on our usual excellent, creative diet.

Willy came over around 9:00 to watch the Tottenham v. West Ham PL fixture and Suzette made us a terrific breakfast of almond flour pancakes dotted with blueberries, and drenched with maple syrup, and served with slices of crisp fried bacon and a glass of fresh orange juice.  Willy made me and him a cup of Earl Grey tea with a splash of milk, also.

After breakfast and Tottenham’s victory, I took my first walk outside.  I walked with Suzette and Willy using my walker about 1/2 block and back without difficulty aided by their cheers of encouragement.

Willy left after we returned to the house and I worked at my desk several hours on an affidavit.  Then around 2:00 Suzette made a quesadilla by filling a flour tortilla with slices of steak, French Racalette cheese, and slices of the uneaten 1/2 of the chili Relleno and beans from La Cocina in El Super supermarket, laying a grilled flour tortilla on top of the ingredients and grilling both sides.

I then lay down and rested until 6:00 when Suzette came to fetch me to start cooking dinner. We had invited Mike to join us for dinner at 6:30.

Mike was bringing salad, Suzette was grilling the lamb chops and I was cooking the quinoa.

Quinoa -

With Suzette’s help we boiled water, filled a pot with 1 cup of quinoa and two cups of hot water and brought the quinoa to a boil and then lowered the heat to low and simmered the pit for 15 minutes and then let it stand covered for five minutes.

I then made a salad dressing with 1 1/2 T. of Fiorello’s fig balsamic vinegar we bought in Suisun Valley near Green Valley, California, 1/2 tsp. of prepared German mustard, 1/4 cup of Olive oil flavored with herbs de Provence, and small cubes of French blue cheese. I whisked the dressing into a thickened emulsion.

Mike arrived with a bowl of lovely crisp salad mix he had made of spinach, torn lettuce, and sliced celery, radishes, and cucumbers.

We discussed the wine and Mike agreed with my suggestion of a Cotes Du Rhone.  I instructed him where to find the bottle in the basement wine cellar and also where to find a bottle of Maison Serrene Cognac and Mike soon returned with the two bottles and opened the bottle of Model Cotes Du Rhone. Suzette fetched glasses and Mike poured glasses of wine for each of us.

Soon Suzette brought in the grilled lamb chops and plated three plates with two lamb chops each laid on a pile of quinoa.  We decided to use a separate plate for salad, so she fetched three salad plates.

We had a lovely dinner, but I became sore after I finished my dinner and half my salad and moved to the big chair and swiveled it around to face the dining table.

Soon Mike and Suzette joined me in the TV viewing area of the room.

I imposed on Mike again and asked him to fetch glasses and pour cognac, which he did. We discussed films and music streaming services and finally settled on Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy series.  I was able to find the episode on Piedmont, that none of us had seen, and we watched it.  It was fabulous starting in Turin, the first Capitol of a unified Italy in 1861 and ending high in the Alps at the border with Switzerland in sight of Mont Blanc, where Tucci sampled an Italian form of fondue made with fontina cheese made in the high Alps of Italy. I also learned that Barolo wine is made exclusively from the Nebbiolo grape grown almost entirely in a small area of Piedmont named Lethe, located south of Turin.

After the episode we talked for another 45 minutes and then said goodnight.

I gave Mike the remaining 2/3 of the bottle of cognac we did not drink.

The most creative dish of the day was the Quesadilla Suzette made for lunch utilizing leftover steak, some Racalette cheese,  and the chili Relleno and beans from my lunch on Friday at El Super.  I loved the warm combination of chili, beans, Racalette cheese, and steak between two toasted flour tortillas. Racalette is one of the melting cheeses for French fondue.

February 18, 2023 Breakfast - Fried Eggs, a Sausage patty, and Toast. Lunch - Chili Relleno Burrito at El Super, Dinner - Sautéed PPI Steak, Saag, and rice

February 18, 2023 Breakfast - Fried Eggs, a Sausage patty, and Toast. Lunch - Chili Relleno Burrito at El Super, - Sautéed PPI Steak, Saag, and rice

I woke up at 6:15 and watched two amazing PL matches until 9:30.

A cracker between No. 1 Arsenal and No. 11 Aston Vila in which Aston Villa was ahead at the break and the match was tied for a large part of the 2nd half until an own goal by the AV goalie broke AV’s determination and.Arsenal won by 4 to 2.

I then watched an even more unlikely match between No. 2 Man City against No. 14 Nottingham Forest that ended in a 1 to 1 tie.

Suzette left at 8:30 for work and I made breakfast at 9:00.  I sliced and fried in a skillet together, the last 1/8 of a brown onion, a slice of Jimmie Dean sausage, and finally two eggs over easy with a bit of butter.

I also toasted three small slices of baguette that I buttered and spread with  IKEA Orange and Elderberry Marmalade and drank a cup of chai.

Then at 10:00 Mary came and I worked with her to fill in her responses to the Complaint and discuss the case with Robert until 2:30.

Then Suzette drove us to the library to return The Return and pick up Kundera’s The Incredible Lightness of Being.

We then drove to the ATM for some cash and finally to El Super to replenish our fridges with fresh produce.  I held the shopping car while Suzette and I filled it with celery, spinach, oranges, avocados, brown and red onions, Snow peas, green beans, lemons, limes, carrots, fresh squeezed orange juice, sweet potatoes, Roma tomatoes, and several other similar items.

After working for 4 hours at my desk and shopping for 45 minutes, at. 3:30 without any nourishment I hit the wall and needed to sit down and eat something.  I pushed the basket to the in store restaurant next to the produce area and sat while Suzette stood in the service line for food. In the. 5 minutes she stood in line while others were served, I regained enough energy to push the cart to the service line to order food.  I ordered my favorite, a chili Relleno platter with one large warm Chile Relleno and double beans with two toasted flour tortillas and a Mexican coke.  The total for both was $9.86.

I sat and ate while Suzette checked out. I cut the Chile Relleno in half lengthwise to make two long half.  I then lay one half in one of the warm tortillas and added refried beans and chopped onion and cilantro that Suzette fetched from the condiment bar in the middle of the dining area. I then rolled the tortilla around the ingredients to make a chili Relleno and bean burrito. I love the chili rellenos at El Super because they make them with the largest fresh Pasilla chilis and a stuff them with a stringy Mexican cheese that melts into a flavorful gooey stringy core when they are battered and fried with an egg and flour batter coating. They are kept  warm in an aluminum lined section of hot water heated section of the food line with all the other trays of chili, taco meats, and Posole. I spoke Spanish with the attendant who asked which of the two rellenos I wanted and I told her I wanted double beans and no rice and flour tortillas.  After she plated my selected Relleno and filled one of the cavities with refried beans, she buttered and sautéed two flour tortillas on the big iron grill behind the food trays and rolled them in paper and a sheet of aluminum to keep them warm and handed the plate and rolled up tortillas on a tray to the cashier. I then requested the cashier for a bottle of Mexican coke, instead of a can and paid for the lunch.

I cannot express how delicious this burrito tasted with its gooey viscous warm cheese filing, fresh battered chili and warm flour tortilla washed down with sips of cane sugar Mexican coke. I literally felt my taste buds and muscles coming back to life as I ate.

I filled the other flour tortilla with the other half of the chili Relleno and beans and the rest of the fresh chopped cilantro and onions that Suzette had fetched.

In about fifteen minutes Suzette returned from checking out and we sipped the last few sips of coke and I put the other burrito in a plastic bag into my jacket for later consumption and I pushed the cart out to the car without any further pain. Suzette loaded the groceries into the Highlander, drove us home, and unloaded the groceries into the fridges, while I got into bed around 4:00. I napped until Suzette awakened me at 6:00.

While I slept Suzette had had a spa session, including exercise in the hot tub, showering and shaving, and applying a herbal mask to her face.

So we were both refreshed.

Dinner was a quick prep while I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, Suzette sautéed several slices of PPI grilled rib steak with the last of the Saag, some of the prepared Turmeric rice, some chopped onion in the last of the lamb korma sauce to create a beef korma. We doused the dish with blobs of yogurt and enjoyed our third Indian meal from the Naan and Dossa prepared dishes. She drank Chianti and I drank water.

After dinner I mentioned that we needed to refill the bottle with rice and asked Suzette to bend over and pull the jasmine rice from the back of the pantry.  When she did she discovered that the mouse we had in the house before it died from the poison I put out, had eaten small holes in the bag of couscous and black beans also stored on the flour.  Suzette went into action and cleaned out the pantry of spilled beans and couscous and mouse droppings.

Finally at 7:30 she joined me in front of the TV where we watched a house hunter episode about Austin, Texas, and then an episode of Father Brown.

I could not stay awake any longer and went to bed at 9:30, while Suzette watched Death in Paradise.

I awakened at 2:30 to blog this blog and watch a few minutes of news about the heightening tensions between the US and China and Vice President Harris accusing Russia of War crimes for its indiscriminate killing of civilians in Ukraine and the stepped up efforts of the European countries to support Ukraine at the Munich Security conference.

I invited Willy over at 8:00 to watch soccer so I went back to sleep at 4:15.
