July 4, 2021 Brunch - Pork Burritos. Dinner - PPI Beef Stroganoff

July 4, 2021 Brunch - Pork Burritos. Dinner - PPI Beef Stroganoff

I watched Stage 9 of the Tour de France.  It was another exciting day for two reasons.  A young Australian rider, O’Conner, went out and won the stage and for a few minutes threatened to go into yellow, until the Yellow Jersey responded.  By the end of the race the yellow Jersey was 2 minutes ahead of O’Conner and further ahead of all GC contenders.

The other interesting aspect is that Niro Quintana the Columbia started contesting for the polka dot Jersey for the best climber.

Suzette made pork burritos for brunch.  The pork did not agree with us and our stomachs were queazy most of the rest of the day.

Suzette then drove to the nursery to buy lands and boxwood blight spray.

I drove to Albertsons to buy their specials, strawberries, corn, chicken leg quarters, and milk.

For dinner we ate the PPI Beef stroganoff with the new bottle of 2018 Chianti reserva bottled for Kirkland we bought at Costco for $7.99 this week.  I love beef stroganoff’s creamy mushroom, onion, and beef sauce

It constitutes my optimum diet of 30% protein and 70% carbohydrates.

After dinner I ate two slices of St. Andre on slices of French Baguette.

We watched three episodes of Lupin, which we find very entertaining until 10:45.

The excitement of the action of the Lupin episodes was amplified as we felt the concussive force and sound of the fireworks being detonated around our house as neighbors fired off fireworks.

Around 10:00 I ate a wedge of the flan Elaine made with fresh strawberries for dessert.

This was a very quiet 4th of July that I liked berry much.

Bon Appetit
