May 14, 2025 Breakfast - Granola with tropical fruit salad, mango yogurt, and milk. Lunch - Bagel sandwiches.  Dinner - oyster Stew.

I watched the market open a little shakily.  Then I ate granola with tropical fruit salad, mango yogurt, and milk.

I worked until10:50 and then drove to my dermatology appointment.

When the appointment ended at Noon, I drove to the Smith’s at the corner of Montgomery and Louisiana, but it did not have a butcher shop with fresh fish. I bought whole wheat bagels, asparagus, milk, and a few other items.

Then I drove to my favorite Smith’s at the corner of Carlisle and Constitution. I went fish crazy. I bought two salmon filets, a 5 oz. Aji tuna steak, a pound of sea scallops, and two bottles of oysters on discount, plus plain bagels, cream cheese, Roma tomatoes, tonic water, soda water, and a large bottle of Kroger Big K Cola, asparagus, ice cream Drumsticks, and shallots.

I was happy after spending $75.00.

After I returned home and put up the groceries, I sliced one of the whole wheat bagels into thirds and toasted them. I then spread goat cheese on and garnished them with slices of tomato, red onion, salami, and avocado and ate two of the open faced bagel sandwiches with three dill pickles and wrapped up the third.

I then filed a pleading in the LRGA at 3:30.

I knew it was another good day in the market even though the Dow was negative, because people were still buying Nvidia and Arm, but I was surprised how strongly.  With today’s gain I reached my all time high again  when I counted the hedge fund subscriptions and potential Earn loan repayment thanks to the continued surge in high tech in the last three days.

We watched the news and a rerun of Antiques Roadshow until 6:30 when we made Oyster Stew. I finely diced two red potatoes, a few asparagus, a shallot, about a cup of celery, and some tarragon Suzette had picked in the garden.

I also cut each oyster into about three 1 inch square chunks.

Suzette then sautéed the shallot, potatoes and celery and then added milk, tarragon, salt, and finally the oysters.

While Suzette was cooking I sliced and toasted four slices of Baguette.

We each ate two bowls of stew and two slices of toasted baguette with glasses of Herman Wiemer rose’.

Two grocery stores visits. And walking to my doctor’s office got me to 3000 steps today.

We watched Lawrence and then Suzette went to bed.

Around 10:00 I ate. The last slice of carrot cake with a cup of green tea.

I watched the Las Vegas v. Edmonton Oilers playoff match which was 0 to 0 at the end of regulation and then went to bed to blog.

Bon Appetit
