June 8, 2021 Sayulita to Albuquerque Breakfast - Sweet Roll Lunch - Turkey and Cheese sandwiches at PV Airport. Dinner - Humble Pie Restaurant at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
Around 9:00 we ate a sweet roll with coffee for Suzette and tea for me.
We packed and I made Turkey, Swiss cheese, and avocado sandwiches that I packed for the trip.
We then drove to the Budget rental office in PV to return the car. It took a while to get through customs, so we bought a Coca Cola for me and a Modelo Especial for Suzette. We sat down at a table in the food court area and ate 1 1/2 sandwich halves each with chips and tomato slices.
We then flew to Phoenix where we went directly through Global Entry in immigration and customs and rechecked our grips.
It was 5:00 and our flight did not leave until 7:45 so we looked for a restaurant, but many of them were closed. We finally went to our gate and beside it found a sit down restaurant that served wine. We each ordered a Ceasar salad and an order of meatballs and a bottle of 2018 Pinot Noir that turned out to be good with a Vinvino rating of 3.8.
We enjoyed our first meal back in the U.S.
All in all it was a pretty usual day of travel with just a bit better food for dinner.
