October 7, 2025 Breakfast - Tabouleh Salad Lunch - Leftover Roast Duck with Sweet and Sour Sautéed Red Cabbage. Dinner - Leftover Stuffed Acorn Squash and Stuffed baked Apple

I awakened at 6:30 and watched the market open and ate a Tabouleh Salad with green olives and 1/2 of a toasted pita for breakfast.

Then I connected with Willy and he offered me moral support while I transferred money from my Wells Fargo account to my new Robinhood account and opened a Robinhood Gold Card credit card account.

The market was up and down all day ending down. I guess the enormity of the government shutdown and slowing labor market is dampening the risk-on attitude.

Around 12:00 I corrected a motion and two affidavits in a case And then around 1:15 heated the leftover roast duck and sweet and sour cabbage from dinner several nights ago.

At 2:30 I lay down until 3:25 and then meditated until 4:00 when I watched Ari and dozed until 5:00.

I then bagged the broken Chinese charger and took it to Erika’s house for herb to use in her mosaic craft work and walked around the block.

When I returned I read the Human Stain by Philip Roth for a few minutes until Suzette arrived hungry, having eaten only 7 jujube pies all day.

She immediately spooned out the rest of the Vichyssoise and I peeled and diced 1/2 avocado and went to the garden to pick 6 stalks of chives that I sliced into thin ringlets and fetched the croutons.

Suzette garnished the bowls of Vichyssoise with the diced avocado, chives, and croutons and heated the leftover Acorn Squash stuffed with mushrooms, pork sausage, bread crumbs and a baked apple in the microwave.

She poured out the last two glasses of Bandol Rose and we ate our soup full of wonderful garnishes and then 1/2 of a 1/2 of the acorn squash and 1/2 of the baked apple. I ate my 1/2 baked apple with chocolate ice cream.

We then watched two episodes of Finding Your Roots with Jose Andres in one and Van Johnson in the other for an enlightening and entertaining evening.p with a sip of Kelt cognac.

I went to bed a bit after 9:00 after I took out the trash although Suzette preceded me by a few minutes.
