October 25, 2025 Breakfast - Chocolate Croissant with tea.  Lunch - Chicken Curry with rice and chai Dinner - Polish Bean Stew

We had a good day.

I woke up at 4:45 and worked on my pleadings until 7:15th en I watched some of Fulham v. Newcastle that Newcastle won. But at 8:30 we drove to an estate sale off north Rio Grande because Suzette had seen a Japanese cabinet she wanted for the bathroom. We found it and  bought it plus a book on Jewish History from 1918 to 1939 that I thought Peter would like the book.

We then drove to another estate sale and decided that we would return tomorrow when the items left would be 1/2 price.

We then drove to Peter’s and presented him with the book and talked for a few minutes.

Then we drove to the post office so Suzette could mail a package and then the computer repair shop on Carlsle and then Smith’s at the corner of Constitution where we bought cheddar, Imperial brie, and tallegio cheese, kielbasa Polish sausage, a baguette, pork chops, and milk.

We then drove home and ate lunch at 1:00. Suzette ate leftover beef short ribs Neapolitan and I ate Chicken Curry with rice.

Suzette went to the garden and picked the basil. We stripped each leave from its stalk and then Suzette made basil salt by Cuisinarting. the basil with salt and then drying it in a 200 degree oven for about 20 minutes.

This took several hours.

I then minced 1/2 onion and Pasilla pepper, 1/4 head of red cabbage and two cloves of pepper, while Suzette chopped 1/2 of a kielbasa sausage ring, some fennel and two pork chops. She then cooked those ingredients with fennel to make a Polish bean stew that we ate for dinner with a bottle of 2023 Precision Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa that was delicious with the bean stew. We watched Bill Maher at 6:00 and Have I Got News for You at 7:00 and the Dodgers beat the Blue Jays to even the WorldSeries at one game each.

Then Suzette went to bed and I watched Bill Maher and Have I Got News for You again and blogged this entry.

Bon Appetit
