March 20, 2025 Lunch - Crab Cake and Egg. Dinner - Improved Seafood Soup
I slept badly so got a couple more hours from 6:00 to 8:00 which is when Suzette awakened also.
At 9:30 I toasted two slices of bagel, spread them with cream cheese, and added slices of red onion and gravlax and capers.
My computer was running badly and I called Dell Assistance at 11:30 and the computer was fixed by 12:30.
I then walked to the bank to get money to pay Loyda.
I worked at my desk until 2:20 and then fried an egg and heated the crab cake, asparagus, and cucumber and tomato salad left from last night’s dinner. It was delicious and just enough.
I worked until 3:40 and then walked around the block to help get me 3400 steps today.
A made a gin and tonic and napped until Suzette came home at 5:00 and then joined her and talked about her day.
At 6:00 we decided to heat the seafood soup we made last night.
Suzette it and I fetched the leeks and globe red grapes from the garage and finely sliced a leek.
Suzette sautéed the leek, while I destemmed and chopped a handful of spinach that I added to the soup when Suzette added the sautéed leeks to the soup.
I toasted thee large and three small slices of baguette that we dipped into the soup to soften.
As soon as the soup bubbled Suzette served bowls of it.
It was a really good soup.
Suzette drank water and I drank a sip of amontillado sherry with our soup dinner. There was one bowl of soup left that I put into a yogurt container and into the fridge.
We watched most of Rachel and the I watched Brazil beat Colombia in world cup elimination and then Mexico beat Canada in the Concaf. Panama beat the US earlier, and will meet with Mexico on Sunday for the championship.
I went to bed and blogged at 9:45.
Bon Appetit
