I ate a pain au chocolate with a cup of tea as I watched the news and soccer this morning and then rode 1.25 miles on the therapeutic bike.

I then watched Liverpool beat Chelsea to stay No. 1 in the PL standings.

At noon Suzette made us bowls of granola, yogurt, milk, and green grapes.

We then went outside and she helped me prune the patio rose bush and clear some of the vine that was beginning to wrap around its stalks.

I also removed three invasive trees and was feeling pretty good about my stamina.

At 2:00 after I finished the yard work I ate a piece of the tiramisu cake Wayne and Elaine brought for the dinner party on Friday night.

Willy called from Budapest and we talked for a while and he reminded us that today was Luke’s birthday. So after we talked to Willy we called Luke and wished him a happy birthday and talked until his phone went dead.

I have reached the point in my recovery where exercise begets more exercise.  For example, after dinner I walked around the block, which got me to 3300 steps for the day without any suffering.

Dinner - We fixed an early dinner around 5:30. Suzette sautéed the two Salmon filets I bought at Smith’s on Friday.p and I minced 3 oz. of onion, four cloves of garlic, and snapped a handful of green beans and Suzette sliced several mushrooms and stir fried those ingredients in peanut oil and then added about a cup of sushi rice to make fried rice.

I poured the remaining two glasses of Granbazans Albariño and fetched the tartare sauce left from last night’s dinner and we had a lovely dinner.

The salmon was sautéed perfectly, firm with a crisp edible skin but with all of its liquid intact so that each flake flaked with just a touch of a fork.

Suzette was not feeling well and went to sleep early after dinner.

I stayed up to watch two PBS Masterpiece Mystery episodes, the final episode of Moonglow Murders and an episode of Va Der Welk and the blogged this blog.

Bon Appetit
