October 21, 2024 Breakfast - Sausage, fried eggs, and sautéed onion rings with toasted baguette Lunch - Sashimi. Dinner - Meatloaf with a baked potato, and roasted pitti pan squash
Today was a great day. Nvidia hit a new all time high and I may have rented the Birdland space.
I knew I would be busy so I ate a large breakfast. I fried a slice of patty sausage and two slices of onion, and two eggs over firm and toasted two slices of baguette and spread them with butter and French cherry preserves and drank a cup of chai with breakfast.
Then I got dressed and received the keys for the Birdland location and the drove to show the premises to a potential renter who liked it and followed me home and waited while I prepared a draft of a lease for their review.
I mentioned that there might be a location at the Center for Ageless living and at 12:45 he drove to the Center to talk to Suzette and look at the Ultrahealth dispensary location.
I found out the hearing in the LRGA was vacated so I called The prospective tenant and told him I would be available tomorrow morning.
Then a few minutes after 1:00 I ate the leftover sashimi from Saturday with reheated leftover sushi rice, and hot green tea. I enjoyed the pickled daikon and Korean basil with the sashimi.
At 2:30 I checked the market and was amazed that in a down market Nvidia rose $5.71 which was almost the exact amount that my portfolio rose, 1.5%, a good day in the market. Since the day I returned from Europe on September 25, 2024, my portfolio has risen 7.2%, a remarkable amount in less than a month.
I worked at my desk until 4:20 and then watched TV news until 6:00 when I minced 2/3 onion and sliced three mushrooms that Suzette added to the ground beef, eggs, catsup, and oatmeal to make massive meatloaf.
We went to the garden and Suzette snipped a small handful of fresh chives and I sliced them into thin ringlets.
After the meatloaf was put into an oven pre-heated to 350 degrees to bake for 1 hour she rinsed and I stabbed six russet potatoes and sliced two pitti pan squash and put them on a cookie sheet and roasted them for 45 minutes in the oven below the meatloaf. I put a container of sour cream and butter on the table with the chives.
We decided on a Kirkland Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina, so I fetched the Malbec and opened it and poured us each a glass. When the meatloaf was cooked Suzette plated slices of meatloaf, 1/2 of a roasted squash, and a baked potato on each plate, we each added butter sour cream, and chives to the potato and ate a hardy dinner.
After dinner we sipped a Calvados and I ate three chocolates as we watched the Antiques Roadshow and Monday Night Football.
By my standards, it was a great day.
Bon Appetit
