November 10, 2019 Brunch – Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas with a fried egg.  Dinner – Sautéed Teriyaki Aji Tuna steaks with Stir Fried mixed vegetables

I awakened at 6:30.  I tasted two bagel slices and spread them with cream cheese and put slices of Gravad Lax on one and smoked whitefish on the other while I watched the news programs until 9:00 when I took the car to Firestone for an inspection of the tires.  The flashing tire signal was a faulty sensor.  For brunch Suzette heated the last of the Green Chili Chicken enchiladas and lay an egg on the top for a lovely light breakfast.

I worked with a client on a case from 11:00 to 2:00 and then showered and dressed.

We left for the 3:00 Sunday matinee of the NM Philharmonic at 2:30.

The program was an all Vivaldi program with a choral and symphonic piece named Gloria and three violin concertos.  I enjoyed the Baroque music of the early 18th century.

After the symphony we returned home and Willy came by and it was easy to convince him to stay for dinner because we were cooking teriyaki marinated Aji Tuna, which he loves  We had a hard time deciding what to do about the vegetable dish.  We finally decided to stir fry a bunch of vegetables, a lb. bunch of asparagus, ½ of a sweet onion, ginger, garlic, ½ of a yellow bell pepper, and five or six baby portobello mushrooms.  After a bit we added two handfuls of cashew nut pieces because Willy really likes dishes containing nuts, as we all do.

I made a seasoning sauce with 1 T. each of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and Chinese cooking wine and added 1 tsp. of sesame oil, and about ½ T. of cornstarch plus 2 T. of water.

Suzette cooked the dish and added the seasoning sauce to thicken when the vegetables were fully cooked and Suzette served us slices of tuna laid on a pile of vegetables.

I heated a pitcher of sake in a sauce pan filled to ½ with water and made green tea for myself.  Willy drank PPI Barbera di Asti red wine. Suzette drank water and we all drank sake.

We watched a documentary on the Durrell family, then Poldark and finally Press on PBS while switching back and forth to the Cowboys game, which they lost.

At 10:00 we went to bed and I blogged a bit.

Bon Appetit
