January 12, 2024 Breakfast - Lax on Bagel, Lunch - Leftover Duck Leg Soup Dinner - Leftover Baked 4 Cheese Casarecce Pasta.
This was a very relaxing and uneventful day, unless one counts NFL Wild Card games exciting.
I toasted two slices of Costco seeded Bagel and spread cream cheese on them and garnished them with red onion slices and Gravad Lax and capers. I drank green tea with slices of ginger root and Suzette made a Bloody Mary.
Then we watched a good Fareed Zacharia and then worked at our desks. I finished the book club notes and Suzette did billing.
Then at 12:00 I added water, several slices of tomato and several slices of Napa cabbage and a loaf of Vietnamese dried rice vermicelli noodles to the soup and brought it to a boil. Then I added three thin 1 inch long green onion sections and juice of 1/2 lime.
The two bowls of soup were delicious. I then lay down until 3:00, when I watched more football.
Suzette made another Reuben sandwich with the last of the pork and sauerkraut around 2:00 and was not hungry for dinner, so at 8:00 I heated some of the awesome Baked 4 cheese Pasta from last night and drank a glass of Chateau Seraphin Côtes du Rhône with it.
We watched Miss Scarlett and then a rather exciting finish to the Tampa v. Washington Wild Card game that Washington won with a game ending field goal.
We then watched Vienna Blood and then Suzette went to bed and I watched Sophie and Luna and went to bed at 11:00.
The day was spent hibernating and eating leftovers, which was quire pleasant.
Bon Appetit
