January 10, 2024 Lunch - Vietnam 2000. Dinner - Lamb Kebabs in Pita Pockets

January 10, 2024 Lunch - Vietnam 2000. Dinner - Lamb Kebabs in Pita Pockets

It was a good day of food, activity, and work. Suzette git a new clients and her eyes checked and I got a pleading filed and watched the Longhorns go down in defeat to Ohio State.

I also walked over 3000 steps today after an amazing 4700 steps yesterday thanks to compression socks.

I ate a bowl of granola, milk, yogurt, and blueberries for breakfast.

Then edited a pleading.

Then I walked to the bank at a good pace without a rest stop And back. I may finally beginning to build stamina.

When I returned I edited an affidavit for Bill and took it over and then returned and sent it to him which when Suzette returned at 12:45.

We decided to go to Vietnam 2000 for lunch. We were hungry so when we arrived I ordered fried egg rolls.

Then Suzette ordered Rice flour sheets with egg rolls and fried shrimp and I ordered rice noodle soup with a duck leg.

We loved our dishes and Suzette finished her dish but I took over half of my soup home.

When we returned home Suzette napped and I dozed in front of the TV half watching Bayern play Dortmund in the German league.

Then I compiled the exhibits and sign the Motion in a water case and filed it with the OSE Administrative Unit by 4:00.  At 4:20 I started watching Ari Melber and the pn checked the market. The Dow dropped 700 points and the NASDAQ dropped 317 points.  My portfolio has lost almost 4% of its value in the last week. So the Trump euphoria and the Santa Claus rallies have evaporated.

The harsh reality that Trump’s threatened tariffs, deportations, and invasions will be inflationary has now set in. The only bright spot is that gold and treasury rates are on the rise thanks to the threat of inflation and a bulging deficit. Of course a cataclysmic disaster like the L.A. fire has shaken economic forecasts also.

At 5:30 we started watching Texas against Ohio State and Texas was playing catch up most of the first half. Then they were tied in the third period, but in the 4th period Ohio State scored twice and won 28 to 14.

At halftime we filled pita pockets with the lamb kebabs Suzette made two nights ago, feta, tzatziki, cabbage, red onion and tomato slices for a big gooey mess that fell apart but was delicious.

After dinner Suzette drank a limoncello and I drank a white vermouth and later a cognac with some slices of the dark chocolate orange left from Chanukah.

After the game at 9:00 we watched a Norwegian Christmas movie and went to bed at 10:30.

Bon Appetit
