September 15, 2025 Lunch - Leftover Enchiladas and Refried beans  Dinner - Pita Pocket sandwiches with creamy feta, Napa cabbage, cherry tomatoes, tzatziki and lamb kebabs

I went to bed at 10:00 and woke up at 3:30 to finish my discovery submittal and get ready for my 8:00 doctor’s appointment.

I worked until 6:15 and then showered and dressed and ate a chocolate croissant and drank a cup of tea and left at 7:15 for my appointment.

After my appointment I drove to Trader Joe’s to buy deodorant, a container of burrata, and dark chocolate for Suzette’s Bistro, I wandered into the wine department and discovered a Bandol rose for $12.99. I bought 11 of them plus a bottle of amontillado sherry to cook with.

Then I asked a lady who seemed knowledgeable what she would recommend and she led me to a Ruta 49 Albariño, a big Malbec Alma Uco from the Uco Valley, and an Italian red I had bought before.  So I bought about 20 bottles of wine and was happy with each of them.

After I returned home and brought in the wine and chocolate, I worked until 11:45 when I heated the leftover enchiladas from lunch at Monroe’s on Saturday. They were still good.

Then around 2:30 I filed my discovery and then checked the market, Which was up again today. Since I sold many of my positions my gains have been modest. Today my portfolio gained slightly less than .5%.

I stopped work when I finished filing all my papers.

We worked on the trip to Japan for an hour reserving food tours in Kyoto and Tokyo.

At 5:30 Suzette made dinner. There was no cooking involved, only heating the kebabs, chopping some Napa cabbage, halving some cherry tomatoes, and slicing and heating the pita pockets and filling them with these ingredients plus tzatziki.

After dinner we decided to peel the last six peaches and stew them with sugar, a bit of water and some lemon juice.  When they were cooked, we added some to the leftover peach cobbler and had a delicious dessert.

We were both tired and went to bed after the first hour of Antiques Roadshow at 8:30.

Bon Appetit
