April 24, 2026 Breakfast - Granola. Lunch - Vietnam 2000. Dinner - Leftover Lasagna with a tomato salad

I awakened at 7:00 and watched the market open with a bang as the high tech sector took off stocks like ARM and AMD soared. It became one of my best days ever and my portfolio increased by almost 2.2%.

I worked on my brief until 11:30 and then went to linch with Aaron at Vietnam 2000. Aaron ordered sautéed salt and pepper chicken and onions on rice.  I ordered No. 76, Egg noodles with duck leg soup, a dish I dearly love.

After my usual bowl of granola in the morning, I really enjoyed the soup and ate all of it, which is unusual for me.

When I returned home I watched the market close and then confirmed the huge day’s result. I worked on the brief for another hour and then at 4:00 lay down and napped until 5:30, when I helped Suzette with a letter and then we prepared a very simple dinner.

Suzette sliced grape tomatoes in half and tossed them with cucumbers threads and red onion with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to prepare a simple tomato salad and heated squares of leftover spinach and mushroom lasagna.

I opened a bottle of 2019 Vouvray that was on the sweet side but very expressive of the Chenin Blanc grape in the Loire Valley.

After dinner we watched the news and then Montreal beat Tampa Bay in an early round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

At 8:30 we went to bed.

I have been enjoying reading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen, so read some more tonight.

Bon Appetit
