April 23, 2026 Breakfast - Gravad Lax on Bagel Lunch - Mary and Tito’s with Henry. Dinner - Baked Stuffed Acorn Squash
Today I was clear headed and made progress on my reply.
At 8:00 I spread goat cheese on two slices of toasted bagel and garnished them with slices of red onion and Gravad lax.
Then I worked until 12:45 when Henry came and we drove to Mary and Tito’s for lunch. I love the fresh flowers on each table. Henry ordered Huevos Rancheros and later a bowl of chicharrones. I ordered the Thursday special, two tacos with double beans and red chili on the side.
I returned home after 2:00 and checked the Market and even though both averages were down my portfolio made a new high with a small gain.
I then drove to Smith’s and bought a half gallon of milk for $1.38 on digital special plus a container of vanilla and a container of Chocolate CherryTruffle ice cream, a discounted wedge of Affinois cheese, and two Belgium Endives.
When I returned home I rested from 4:15 to 5:30 when Willy came and we spent three hours with Xfinity to get our cable service re-connected.
Then we heated the baked acorn squashes stuffed with ground beef and mincemeat and drank glasses of red Mencia wine..
Later PBS came on and we were able to watch Midsomer Murders.
Suzette made an open face ice cream sandwich by putting a glob of vanilla ice cream on a chocolate chip cookie garnished with a squirt of chocolate syrup.
I ate a bowl of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup and with a chocolate chip cookie.
Suzette went to bed at 9:45 after Midsomer Murders and I stayed up to watch George Gently, another British police detective series, until 11:15.
Bon Appetit
