November 25, 2023 Lunch - Turkey Noodle Soup. Dinner - Crab Soufflé with green bean casserole
I awakened around 8:00 and started watching Nottingham Forest v. Brighton. The game got completely out of control after Brighton went ahead 3 to 1. Dunk pushed down a runner in the box and objected to the penalty call and was thrown out of the game. Brighton held on to win 3 to 2 in an exciting finish.
Willy came by around 11:00 while we switched between Arsenal v. Brentford and Michigan vs Ohio State. Michigan won convincingly w hitch will move them up to a 1 or 2 in the AP standings. Arsenal won on a late header to go into 1st place in the PL standings. There were so many superlatives today it was fun to watch.
At 12:30 we ate bowls of turkey Noodle soup with a heated pull bread roll that Willy made for Thanksgiving. We enjoyed the light mushroom flavor of the porcini noodles we had bought at Talin.
Willy left around 2:00. Suzette worked most of the day except I decided to give her a new Miele coffee maker to replace the one that failed a couple of years ago with automatic water refill to fit in the cabinet we built for the old one. We called several sellers and will wait until Builders’ Source opens on Monday.
I napped from 4:30 to 6:30 and then at 7:00 we heated the PPI crab soufflé and PPI green bean casserole made by Linda for Thanksgiving dinner with the last of the crab dressing and some cranberry sauce.
Suzette had a vermouth and a piece of roasted pork belly for a tapa before dinner.
Suzette fetched a French Palantir Sauvignon Blanc from the fridge in the garage, one of my favorites and perfect with the crab soufflé.
After dinner I ate a. Few bites of pecan pie and rode a mile on the recumbent bike and then watched more football and had a cup of tea with a slice of pecan pie.
I watched SNL and Cal beat UCLA and at midnight went to bed at midnight.
Bon Appetit
I
