January 4, 2026 Breakfast - Panatonne French Toast. Dinner - super Lobster Bisque red Spinach and Avocado Crema and crumbled corn chips

January 4, 2026 Breakfast - Panatonne French Toast. Dinner - Lobster Bisque, red Spinach, Avocado Crema, and crumbled corn chips

I was awake from 1:00 to 4:00. Then slept until 6:30 and watched the end of the last 30 minutes of the Leeds v. Man U. Fixture.

Then I watched Fareed Zacharia and some of Liverpool v. Fulham that Liverpool tied only in the last few minutes.

Then I made French Toast using slices of Pannetonne and ate the sautéed slices with a splash of maple syrup.  The bread was soft and gooey. I should have cooked it more.

Then I watched Man City v. Chelsea that ended in a tie, which left Man City four points behind Arsenal in second place in the PL standings, instead of tied if Bournemouth had beaten Arsenal.

At 2:30 after Dallas loss to the Giants, Suzette and I trimmed the two large rose bushes in the back yard.

Then at 4:00 I rode my bike around the neighborhood.

Dinner - At 5:30 we made dinner. Suzette heated the PPI Lobster Bisque and added crab stock and red spinach to it. I mixed an avocado and some crema plus lemon juice and Cholula hot sauce until creamy.

I also diced the remaining three lobster tails and three claws and Suzette added them to the bisque.

She then garnished hot bowls of bisque with a zigzag drizzle of the avocado crema and crushed tortilla chips. I opened a bottle of Cotes du Provence rose for a truly spectacular dinner of a stew of lobster.

Later we sipped cognacs and watched an episode of Emily in Paris and after Suzette went to bed I watched the amazing end to the game where in the last two minutes Aaron Rodgers lef the Steelers down the field to score to take the lead by two points. Then Baltimore took the ball to within 22 yards of the goal and with 2 seconds on the clock missed a field goal and Pittsburgh won the game.

Suzette also revived the beans by adding 6 oz. of sautéed chorizo. Tomorrow we will make a chicken enchilada casserole with the beans.

I then finished this blog and went to sleep.

Bon Appetit
