January 25, 2026 Breakfast - Bacon, Fried Eggs, and butternut squash and red cabbage hash. Lunch - Bagel and Lax. Dinner - Leftover Roast pork tapa with rice and Romanian bread sticks

I was a fun day of football and food.

It started with PL football at 7:00 Crystal Palace lost to Chelsea 3 to 1. Willy and Suzette cooked breakfast of fried bacon, fried eggs, and a sautéed hash of butternut squash, red cabbage, and red onion.

We toasted baguette slices also.

Willy brought home a bagel from Sunday bagel with cream cheese and I toasted my cheap Wonder Bread bagel slice that was quite good and spread it with cream cheese and garnished it with red onion and Gravad lax.

We watched the big match of the weekend Man United v. No. 1 ranked Arsenal and Man United won to go into 4th place in the PL.

Then around 12:30 Suzette and I took a long walk of 2800 steps in the neighborhood.

Then I watched Denver lose to the Patriots for the AFC championship and then I took a nap until 5:00 when Seattle beat LA for the NFC championship. Suzette re-heated the leftover Roast pork, onion, and apple tapa that we shared and I ate with rice and the last of the Romanian bread sticks made with phyllo as we watched Miss Fisher.

Then we turned the TV back to the NFC championship that ended around 8:00.

I then blogged this blog and then watched Bookish on PBS and went to bed at 10:30.

Bon Appetit
