November 14, 2023 Lunch - Salami and Manchego Sandwiches. Dinner - Wolfgang Puck

It is always difficult getting back home.  Although relatively painless it was arduous today.  We walked. 2.2 miles through three airports and sat 5 1/2 hours in airplanes.

We also had a pleasant early dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s The Italian Kitchen in DFW Airport.

We awakened at 6:30 and dressed and split a chocolate croissant and I ate a cinnamon roll smeared with butter cream icing.

We then drove to the Guadalajara Airport and waited for our 12:30 flight to DFW.

We ate the two sandwiches of salami and Manchego cheese on rye bread we made last night on the flight to Dallas.

When we arrived in Dallas at 3:30 it took a while to get through Customs and we had to re-enter through security.

The security position we first came to did not have a Pre-TSA entrance so we walked three minutes to the next security station.

When we walked through into the secured area we found ourselves near a Wolfgang Puck The Italian Kitchen.

Since we were interested in eating a meal, we took a table.

The restaurant was well appointed with good linen napkins and table clothes and china and a large mosaic that covered most of one wall.

The menu looked interesting. We ordered a fonghi pizza with mushrooms Alfredo white sauce, fried bacon, onions, chives, and chicken.

We also ordered a Walnut, Gorgonzola, and arugula salad.

Each dish was $17.00, which seemed more than fair for fine dining at an airport.

We also ordered a bottle of Ruffino Chianti Classico for $45.00.

We relaxed and enjoyed a really delicious meal.

We then took the Skylink to Terminal C t catch our 7:30 flight to Albuquerque.

We arrived at 9:00 and drove home without incident.

This was the easiest day of travel we have had in a long time.

Bon Appetit
