November7/8 Breakfast - Chocolate pastry and Bagel with Lebanon Bologna. Cream cheese, and Manchego. Lunch - Pork Curry on broken rice, noodles with seaweed Snacks/Dinner - Purple bun with chicken salad, potato chips and chocolate cookie
We flew from Honolulu to Narita, Japan today or should I say, yesterday.
The flight, time change, and meals have left me a little confused
We woke up at 6:00 and Suzette ate a cookie baked at the Bistro and I ate the rum raisin cupcake garnished with chocolate swirls we bought at Fete’s Mille Fille bakery in the room.
The view from our hotel room
I then bought 140 shares of Robinhood as it was going down but it soon turned up and closed $5.00 up from where I bought it, even though today was another losing day.
We ubered to the airport at 8:15 and while we were waiting I ate the slice of bagel garnished with cream cheese, red onion,Manchego cheese and slices of Lebanon Bologna and a few chunks of cheddar and Bologna.
Soon after we boarded the huge Airbus 380 and took our seat on row 63 we were served a bag wirh an assortment of Japanese rice crackers and a drink. We followed our Japanese row mate’s lead and took a Japanese beer.
Then a bit later a hot meal was served. It was a tray filled with food. The hot entree was ground curried pork on broken rice (very delicious) garnished with slices of egg, a small bowl of noodles with a noodle sauce and a small bag of dried seaweed strips, a roll, a small bowl of fresh pineapple, a small bowl with fresh lettuce and Radicchio and oddly, a small bowl with a slice f ham a scoop of potato salad and a cherry tomato. When offered a drink I chose green tea with this meal.
The flight was 7 hours and 15 minutes. About an hour before we landed in Japan at 3:00, we were served a box lunch/dinner containing a purple bun filled with a scoop of chicken salad, a bag of potato chips, and a chocolate cookie again Suzette and I a cup of matcha green tea.
I took at least 1/2 hour to clear Immigration and customs.
We were met at the airport and sent by taxi to Richmond Hotel in Narita.
By the time we checked in and got to our room we were sore and tired.
Willy called from Vietnam where he is visiting with friends and we talked for a while.
When we said goodbye to Willy we decided to sleep rather than look for food, especially since it is a rainy evening.
It is 8:00 p.m. on Saturday as I write this blog entry in Narita, but it is 1:00 a.m. on Saturday in Honolulu.
I think my body is confused, so I willgo to bed.
Bon Appetit
