July 4, 2018 Lunch – Salad. Snack- Turkey Soup. Dinner – Savor Catering at Gruet

I rode to Montano.
I did not eat breakfast, but at 11:00 I made a great salad with romaine lettuce, a hard boiled egg, two crisp fried pieces of bacon crumbled, feta cheese crumbled, a tomato diced, 1/3 cucumber peeled seeded and diced, ½ avocado diced and dressed with Caesar salad dressing eaten with two pieces of Swedish hard bread.



Suzette came home at 2:00 and heated the PPI Turkey Soupand we each ate a bowl of it.



We then rested until 6:00 when we dropped off a book for Penny and Armin Rembe and drove to Gruet Winery for the 4th of July pop up dinner catered by Savor.  There were three different entrée choices.  We selected the fried chicken with watermelon, feta, arugula and cashew salad and the beef sliders topped with blue cheese.



The food was okay, but not amazing.

At 8:30 we drove to Tramway and watched the Rio Rancho fireworks. We got caught in a traffic jam created by closing the freeway entrance at Tramway, so we went east and then went north to bernalillo and backtracked on I-25 to home.  While stuck in traffic we watched most of Albuquerque’s fireworks, which did not start until 10:00.

A long way home but we made it around 11:00.
