I started the day with ½ bagel sliced in half, toasted, and spread with cream cheese and smoked white fish.
For lunch I heated the Vietnamese Miso Noodle Soup and added a bit of water, a heaping T. of red miso, a diced baby bok Choy, and five more chicken mini-wontons. I garnished the soup with two green onions sliced and dipped the dumplings into a combination of hoisin sauce and sriracha. This made 1 ½ bowls of delicious soup.
At 4:00 I made tropical fruit salad with 1 papaya, I pineapple and four oranges plus the juice of 1 lime as our dish for the neighborhood cocktail party.
At 7:00 we took the fruit salad and a bottle of Don Amor French Pear cider to Eleanore’s House. About twenty folks showed up, each bringing a dish. The favorite was a sour cream and cream cheese onion dip with corn chips. There were also lots of cookies and baked goods.
We stayed until 9:30 when we walked home and fell into bed. I still am lacking much muscular stamina. There is an ongoing discussion whether that is due to lack of rest or lack of exercise.
Perhaps we will get a better idea of which it is tomorrow when we go to the cider festival at Eaves ranch, south of Santa Fe.
Bon Appetit
