February 5, 2016 Lunch – Azuma, Dinner – PPI Roasted Duck and PPI Roasted Vegetables

I met Robert Mueller at Azuma for lunch at 11:45. We ordered my usual which is Lunch Chirachi Donburi with 2 each of raw salmon, tuna, ultra white, and 2 cooked octopus, and 4 yellowtail on a bed of sushi rice in a lacquered box with two pieces of pickled daikon and two pieces of egg omelet with hot tea and pickled ginger and wasabi.  We had a spirited Conversation about politics. I was amazed that Robert did not realize that the core struggle in the Middle East is between the Shia and Sunni sects of Islam.  To not appreciate that fundamental schism in Islam, to me seems to demonstrate a basic lack of knowledge of the fundamental struggle.

  They now garnish the boxes of sahimi with little paper umbrellas.

Robert is supporting Donald Trump, also, so we have big differences in our opinions.

 We were tired and wanted to get rid of some of our PPIs, so for dinner Suzette sautéed PPI roasted carrots, turnips from our garden, and potatoes and we heated up the PPI roasted duck from our lunch at East Ocean on Thursday.
