Dinner Party at Bone and Judy’s house
I picked up two loaves of Fano Baguette and stopped at
Costco to gas up the car and buy a bottle of olive oil.
We were invited to dinner at 6:30 by Judy Pierson and Bone, who
bought the lovely house Debbie used to own in High Desert.
When we arrived we met Linda, who used to own Crystal
Mountain massage school in Albuquerque, so Suzette and she had lots to talk
about. Judy does real estate and Bone is
a retired aerospace engineer.
Bone apparently is the main cook. He sautéed salmon filet in onions and fennel with
a brown sugar and wine reduction. The
dinner also included sautéed sweet potatoes and a wonderful roasted Brussels sprouts with hazelnuts.
There were lots of wines.
We brought a Wellington Marsanne and I drank it and Kendall Jackson
Reserve Sauvignon Blanc with dinner. We
sat around the large granite counter top in the kitchen as Bone cooked and at
cheese and drank wine and talked and then moved to the dining room for dinner.
Judy is a trained nurse and used to work at Cedars Sinai hospital
in L.A. and for ten years in Zimbabwe, Africa before moving to Albuquerque, so
the house is filled with African art.
Here is a picture of Bone serving dinner:
