February 1, 2015 Super Bowl Sunday Breakfast
Eggs and Potatoes a Gratin and bacon
Dinner Red Beans and Rice
Suzette made a lovely breakfast with crisp bacon, two eggs
over easy and the PPI Potatoes au Gratin.
Suzette went to service the car and, rather than wait, walked
to Los Altos Ranch Market to buy red beans, avocados and a couple of other
items.
Around 1:00 we went to Costco for lunch and ate lots at
tasting stations while we shopped for French Gruyere and an interesting new Appellation
Origen Protégé Neuchatel cheese, Polish Kielbasa sausage, canned tomatoes, and
a few other items.
After we arrived at home, I rode to Rio Bravo while Suzette
made Cajun Red Beans with the red beans and sausage and we made 2 cups of
basmati rice.
I went over to the Palmers to watch the Super Bowl, the only
football game of the year Charlie watches, and Susan made lots of appetizers,
such as pistachios, guacamole and salsa and chips and finally nachos with
ground beef, onions, and cheddar cheese with two Stella Artois beers. Because we were TiVo ing the game on Charlie’s
TV, when the halftime began we went back to our house and the 3rd quarter
was beginning. I could not eat any more
food, but had had enough of the red beans to know it was delicious and look
forward to eating it tomorrow.
Bon Appétit
