July 11, 2025, Breakfast – Bagels, Cream Cheese, Salmon spread and Gouda Cheese slices   Lunch – Crazy Fish   Dinner - Bean Stew

Today was a moderate workday. Ahmadi Probate in the morning and Finley closing in the afternoon.

The market was down today thanks to Trump's threat to put a 50% tariff on Canada for not reason and a 50% tariff on Brazil because he wants the government to stop prosecuting Balseiro.

Just more insanity that drove the market nuts and down. Luckily NVDA seems to be immune to the craziness and climbed $.82 to close at $164.92, although it was up over $2.00 at one point.

We walked around the block at 6:30. Then I took a shower and dressed and watched the Market open down. I worked until 11:30 and then l drove to Crazy Fish to join Henry, Rosie, their son, and his daughter, Guia. I ordered Chirashi and a green tea. They order five or six specialty rolls, Japanese ceviche, and Guia ordered Chicken Chow Mein. They let me try a piece of several rolls, some of which were fried, so tempura.  I liked the Lobster Green Dragon Roll the best with its broiled lobster and avocado.

I was given so much stuff that even though I split my chirashi with Henry, I still had leftover fish and much of the rice to take home. They took three boxes home.

After lunch I drove home and prepared the return of the fills to Prozenith and took them to Fedex at 4:00 to send back for a refund.

When I returned home Suzette was at home.

I checked the market and my portfolio was down .0025%, so minimal and still at an all-time high.

If Trump does a Taco by Monday or Canada gives in to some of Trump’s tariffs, the market may recover.

We started watching the news at 5:30 and there were two encouraging things. A federal Judge enjoined ICE from arresting normal people in normal places in Southern and Central California and Trump very quietly restarted military aid to Ukraine. He said he was unhappy with Putin, which is a big switch for Trump, although in reality an huge understatement, since Russia is sending 700 drones and missiles at civilian targets in Ukraine daily. By the way the U.S. is selling arms to the EU that is giving them to Ukraine, the U.S. is not giving arms to Ukraine.

At 7:00 Suzette heated the last of the Bean Stew and we  each ate a bowl and split a toasted flour tortilla and a Negra Modelo.

Suzette talked with Linda today and Linda confirmed that they found my I Pad and that she loved the Bean Stew we toioik them .

We decided to go up on Sunday to pick up the I Pad.

We then watched Tender Bar, a George Clooney directed movie starring Ben Affleck that is adapted from a true memoir, that we liked very much while we sipped cognacs.

Suzette went to bed at 10:00 and I blogged this entry.

Bon Appetit
