June 4, 2025 Breakfast - Granola Lunch - Tabbouleh Salad. Dinner - Le Troquet.
Most of the day I sat and listened to a deposition, from 9:00 until 3:00 with a break for lunch.
Before it began I prepared a bowl of granola with milk, blueberries and mango yogurt.
Then at the break around 1:30 I went to the garden and picked a basket of fresh lettuce.
I spun and filled a pasta bowl with the lettuce and added two radishes sliced, 1/2 tomato diced, cubed Dubliner cheddar, five slices of salami, and thin slices of yellow onion. I dressed the salad with Argentinian Alta Vista olive oil and fresh lemon juice.
I drank water with the salad.
The market closed shortly after the deposition resumed and I was pleased that although the Dow went down the NASDAQ went up 61.53 and Nvidia, Meta, and Marvell went up enough for my portfolio to gain .38%. A gain is better than a loss. Also, I am feeling better because my portfolio has regained more than 1/2 of the loss from its recent low.
At 3:00 I napped until 4:23 and got up just in time to make my 4:30 meditation.
At 5:20 I walked to the end of the block to get a little exercise. The I changed my shirt. When Suzette returned from her exercise class she dressed and we drove to Le Troquet to meet Ruth, Debbie, and Melissa for dinner.
Ruth was our hostess and patron.
Mellisa asked me what was the best dish and I said “Pate Maison”; so she and I ordered the Pate. Melissa also ordered sole with white wine cream and caper saIce that looked wonderful. Suzette and I shared the pate and her halibut that was perfectly grilled and half was plated on two plates with a pile of rice, a half tomato Provençal, two carrots and two asparagus each. It was a lovely gesture By the kitchen. Debbie ordered a filet of tenderloin with a crab cake and Ruth ordered the trout. All the dishes were wonderful. Debbie ordered a glass of the house Chardonnay, I ordered a glass of the Chateau Nerthe Côtes du Rhône for the pate’, and Suzette ordered a glass of Riesling for her halibut.
We loved dinner at Le Troquet, my favorite French Restaurant in Albuquerque.
At dinner Melissa mentioned that a Friend had written a screenplay for Netflix named Life List, so at 8:30 we went home and watched it and liked it very much. It was well written and well acted. Suzette drank a glass of our homemade lemincello and I had a sip of Kelt cognac.
Then at 10:00 we went to bed, Suzette to sleep and iinto blog this entry.
Bon Appetit
