April 24, 2025 Breakfast at La Morada, Flight to BA Snack - Mushroom and corn Quiche. Dinner - Rice and Calamari Stew.
It rained last night and we woke up this morning to see the high Andes blanketed with snow, making them even more impressive.
We had our usual wonderful breakfast at La Morada at 8:00 and then left at 9:30.
We drove to the Mendoza Airport with two stops by police.
We dropped the rental car and got the return of our deposit and took the flight to Buenas Aires.
We took a taxi to our Air BNB in an elegant 6 story old apartment house In a nice part of town
I ran across the street at 3:00 to a pasteleria and bought a ham sandwich, a mushroom quiche, and an apple and Dulce de Leche pastry.
I ate the mushroom quiche as I tried unsuccessfully connect to my book club meeting, so at 4:00 I lay down and read Diva until Suzette, Billy, and Elaine returned to the apartment around 7:00.
They had eaten at the small dinner next door and Suzette brought me back half of her daily special of a stew of rice, carrots, and calamari.
We heated that and I ate about half of it for dinner with water.
We all read and later after Suzette went to sleep I blogged this blog.
Travel days are almost always difficult and unexciting and this one was no exception, except for being unable to connect to the meeting.
